Hitting Checkers
Move 1 shows a hitting example with Black rolling a 4 and a 2. After a move of 2 with his back checker, Black now hits on white's blot, placing the white checker on the bar.

Move 2 is illegal! After a move of 2, Black's back checker may not move further as white has 2 checkers on the 18 point. When 2 checkers are together they are considered safe, this is called a blocking point.
