Bearing Off
In this example Black is bearing off and has rolled a 2 and a 3. Black may remove a checker from his 2-point, corresponding to the roll of 2, however because checkers remain higher than the 3 point, the 3 rolled must be used to move checkers closer to home, and not to take any peices off the board.
